The International Yoga Day was celebrated in our school on 21st June with great zeal and active involvement from students of all classes. The school campus came alive as students gathered in large numbers for a mass yoga session, symbolizing unity, discipline, and wellness.
Students from every grade participated with enthusiasm, performing a variety of yoga asanas such as Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Trikonasana, Bhujangasana, and Sukhasana, showcasing balance, flexibility, and coordination. The rhythmic flow of postures created a calming and peaceful environment.
During the program, a short speech was delivered highlighting the importance of yoga. It emphasized how yoga is not just physical exercise, but a way to achieve mental peace, emotional balance, and spiritual growth. Regular practice of yoga helps improve concentration, boosts immunity, reduces stress, and leads to overall well-being — making it especially important for students.
The event concluded with a collective meditation session, leaving everyone refreshed, relaxed, and inspired to adopt yoga as a part of their daily lives.
